BREATHALYSERS IN FRANCE

The Implementation of France's New Law

The implementation of France's new law (requiring drivers to carry disposable breathalysers in their vehicles) has suffered a setback. Fines were due to be imposed on drivers for being caught without these kits, with effect from 1 November. However, manufacturers have been struggling to meet the demand, the result being unfortunately, or otherwise, that there aren’t enough kits available to buy. The implementation date for imposing such fines has therefore been postponed to March 2013.
